Mr. Koch has been offering personal service to his clients since 1975. That is especially important in estate planning when drafting wills, establishing trusts and discussing issues involved with living wills and medical directives. We also handle probate and estate administration services and guardianship matters.

Wills: Your last will and testament should give clear instructions as to how you want your property to be divided after your death. Tell us what your objectives are and we will make sure your will reflects those objectives.

Trusts: At our law firm, there is no such thing as a fill-in-the-blank trust. A trust should be as personal and unique as you and your family. By placing assets in various types of trusts (living trusts, special needs trusts, revocable and irrevocable trusts, charitable trusts) your heirs can avoid the time and cost of probate.

Beneficiary deeds: In a beneficiary deed, you can add your beneficiary to a deed (your home, for example) and the home will pass to that person after your death without going through probate. With a beneficiary deed you still maintain ownership and control of your real property, and you can change or remove the beneficiary at any time.

Medical directives, living will, healthcare power of attorney: How do you want medical decisions made if you cannot speak for yourself? With the proper documents in place, your doctor and family will know the decision you would make if you were able to do so.

Contact us for an appointment with an estate planning lawyer at Koch & Brim. With thoughtful, personalized estate planning, you can have the peace of mind that comes with knowing your family will know your wishes. An estate plan can help your family avoid probate, and it can help carry out your wishes and make life easier for your family when you are ill or when you die.
